Bow Down (Parody of "Downtown" by Petula Clark)

When you're alone at night, you're aching to know Him
You want to pray, so bow down
When you meet solely Him Who's called three times holy
You can't help but go: Bow down

The highest form of worship, through this verb, is for God only
Never do the same as those who kneel to Saints or Mary
Learn to refuse

Be like those God's servant's here
They all tore down their robes, or forbid them to dare

Said, “Don't bow down!”
“We are mere men, so don't bow down!”
“No, I'm a servant. Don't bow down!”
“Never give praise, to me, too!”

(Bow down)
Bow down

Don't let the mountains get the better of lauding
Let your movements show; bow down
Maybe you know how Ancient Greek Christians say it
It's proskuneow: Bow down

It is just spelled with Pi Rho Omicron closed-Sigma Kappa
Upsilon Nu Eta, stressed, and fin'lly there's Omega – spell it again

The rights of such praise is there
You can never bow to Caesar, never bow to Baal!

Alone
Bow down, to the great Lord of Light
Bow down, be it day or by night
Bow down, make sure it's for the right God

Bow down (Bow down)
Bow down (Bow down)

=Instrumental Break=

And you won't find somebody higher than the Son Who saves you
Save for two it's the Father and the Holy Spirit,
the three persons in one

So maybe I'll see you there
We can forever give worship, forever give praise

And to
Bow down to Him forevermore
Bow down, tongues will confess He's Lord
Bow down, men of all nations for good
(Bow down, Bow down) *to fade
