Don't Waste Your Youth

You of youth; of healthy blood
To the LORD you leap for joy
Don't be foolish, use your bodies
But don't treat them as your toys

I am appealing: Do not wait
Until your bones will crack and shake
God gave you days to think of ways
That you won't waste your fragile age

Will you sing unto the LORD
Only when your throat is sore
Because back then you're screaming for
The songs from secular music stores?

Young believers, hear me now
Have you ever thought of how
You will look at your life now
When you're 20 years from now?

When you get old you might regret
All the years you sold and spent
That you pray for a "Reset"
Or at least try to forget

You can't turn back the time
So act while at your prime
Don't slack 'coz packs of lies
Will hack and slash you by

God has given you your youth
For a godly servitude
Not for selfish attitudes
That relives your sinful moods

You know what we should shame for?
200 years of comfort
We rather should all aim for
A teen-age mutant martyr

It's indeed a sacrifice
But in the end's a worked-for prize
A body that's glorified
And the endless union with Christ
