To the Toga

Some will die in moments
Just before they obtain it

Some still strive for employment
Years after they have claimed it

Some realize they spoiled it
Sweated further to replace it

The man who lived without it
But made increasing profit
Did not get to enjoy it
When God required his spirit
(Luke 12:16-20)

The truth we oft evaded
And leave us thus frustrated
Success in life is painted
Not to those who have graduated
