Promised Me You'll Save Me (Parody of "Always Be My Baby" by David Cook)

Just came up with a thought with the issues of God and sin. But since it's still at its birth, I'll just share to you the first parody I've made... Yes, it was made even way back before "Close by His Hand". This one's a parody of "Always Be My Baby" by David Cook.

Verse 1:
Living as unsaved
Foolish, hopeless, and blind
And I sought never God's things
Thought my works always were right

Now Your word came to me
Thus, You've given me sight
And You softened my heart, gave
Your love, I'll never die now

Chorus:
You promised me that I will be
A part of You in heaven eternally
Lord, You foreknew and predestined me
You called to justify and glorify me

And believing on
Christ capping sins I've been guilty of
To pay the debt that haunt and shame me
Through dying coz You promised me you'll save me

Verse 2:
I will not deny, no
I'll proclaim You today
And Your eternal decree, while
Still understanding Your will

Though I wander away
You bring back again
Into Your sheepfold and harness
Your love will we commend, Oh

[Repeat Chorus]

Bridge:
I know that You'll be back 'gain
In the days when the skies
Will be darkened and shattered

Then show how holy You are
Oh Savior, believing You
Waiting, no matter what time

You promised me that I will be
A part of You in heaven eternally
God, You foreknew and predestined me
You called to justify and glorify me

And believing on
Christ capping sins I've been guilty of
To pay the debt that haunt and shame me
Through dying coz You promised me that
You'll save me

[Repeat Chorus to fade]
