One of David's famous Psalms, proving that David wasn't always in a state of joy and gladness. Although he did try to seek it. May this day be a mark of my depression, for it's obvious with my choice of words that I'm heavily depressed (Though not depressed enough that I can't write my blog here ^_^).
Why are you cast down, Oh my soul
My heart won't last now that I'm cold
Try hard to glance out to His throne
My hands should grasp; mouth shout with hope
Why are you in turmoil within me
Never play in the soil like many
Neither should you be spoiled with envy
Let your way of life point to the tree
Hope in God for again will I praise Him
Soak in God's pure fountain and then taste Him
Love His rod to remain till I face Him
Look, His blood purged the sins you once raised in
The Psalms that calm the restless spirit
Are coming from God's endless wisdom
The some who come to taste and see it
Will long with songs and seek His kingdom
Why are you cast down, Oh my soul
Look upon God's crown to be whole
Do hear His voice sound as it roars
Remind yourself how He atoned [you]
Why are you in turmoil within me
And letting your sin foil His glory
Kindling His anger; boil His fury
Instead you should enjoy His beauty
Hope in God for again will I praise Him
Who for us from the dead He has raised Him
He is good - I will see and then taste Him
I will for all eternity gaze Him
I'll call upon, with gladness spirit,
The Holy One; my incense - share it
For God has done, He said it's finished
And none can come to get and steal it
And on thy God's altar I'll employ
I'll turn and burn for my exceeding joy
